Founded in July 2017 by a team of experienced software architects, NexusCode Academy emerged from a simple observation: there was a significant gap between what universities taught and what the industry actually needed. Traditional computer science education focused heavily on theory, while real-world backend development required deep practical expertise in system design, performance optimization, and enterprise-scale deployment.
Our founders, having worked at leading technology companies across the Gulf region, recognized that Oman's growing tech sector needed developers who could build robust, scalable backend systems from day one. We started with a small cohort of 12 students and a curriculum built around real-world projects that simulated actual enterprise challenges.
Today, NexusCode Academy has grown into the region's premier backend development training institute, with over 500 graduates working at companies ranging from local startups to multinational corporations.
